Located in Asheville, North Carolina, ClearWater Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) has proven capabilities and a high track record of success for a broad spectrum of clients throughout North Carolina, upstate South Carolina, and eastern Tennessee.
The CEC team is recognized as an authority on environmental regulations and permitting. Our principle clients are the managers and executives of industries, utilities, development companies, government agencies, and private land owners charged with the responsibility for compliance with environmental regulations.
CEC was founded in 2002 by R. Clement Riddle, a certified Professional Wetland Scientist with more than 29 years of experience conducting environmental studies and permitting in the southeast region. The CEC team of credentialed biologists bring both science specialties and business knowledge to every challenge we take on.
As a partner in various development teams, CEC has served as a key participant in the planning and permitting for some of the largest developments and projects in North Carolina. Our participation in these projects has included wetland delineation, threatened and endangered species surveys, wetlands master planning, NEPA/ SEPA Environmental Assessments, interagency coordination, and the development and implementation of mitigation sites.
CEC respects the investment of time and effort associated with any project that may impact the environment. CEC is responsive, timely and accurate in our communications with clients. Project managers are able to complete projects successfully, on time, and within budget. By sustaining strong relationships with the various federal, state, and local resource and regulatory agencies, CEC maintains a high rate of obtaining permits.
